My name is Annaliisa.
I believe in connecting with the quiet power of nature—whole organic foods and the body in balance—to unleash a truly blissful state of wellness. Because being “healthy” just means being you—the “you” that could flourish with just a little nutritional detective work, education, encouragement, and accountability. So what does that look like?
Well, it all starts with listening. My mission is to restore you back to your rightful state of health and vitality. To do that, I need to know your story.
My own story is probably like yours in at least a few ways. I experienced bouts of depression, emotional eating, terrible acne, and frustrating searches for what it means to be “healthy”. At one point, after running a successful food manufacturing business in Toronto for nearly four years and becoming a mother, I found myself completely worn out. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue.
Change was my only option.
So I became a yoga teacher, learning how to transform my life through self-care. A combination of nutritional therapy, natural herbs, and healing foods helped me to overcome my adrenal fatigue. And when I studied at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, something critical fell into place.
You see, I spent most of my childhood in Estonia with my grandparents. They lived closely to the earth, with customs and skills carried from an earlier time. My grandfather tapped birch trees and created herbal remedies. In the kitchen, jars of kefir fermented on the counter and my grandmother prepared meals that reflected her deep knowledge of food.
Becoming a Holistic Nutritionist meant reclaiming some of the wisdom my grandparents taught me. Wellness is accessible to all. It’s available in nature; in the whole organic foods you can learn to heal yourself with. Nature helps you to connect with your nature, with the uplifted, happy, and healthy self you are capable of being.
