Watermelon and summer are just synonymous, right?

It’s just so juicy and delish, and it’s a great way to stay hydrated. Watermelon is 90% water!

You’ll find lots of beneficial nutrients in watermelon, like:

  • B6 – great for PMS support
  • Vitamin A – great for eyesight and immunity
  • Vitamin  C – great for skin health as it promotes collagen production and protects your liver
  • Antioxidant lycopene – helpful for protecting you against the damaging effect of UV Rays

Even though watermelon has health benefits, this fruit should be consumed on its own, away from other foods. This is because it digests quickly, and combining it with slower digesting foods – especially meats and fats, can cause fermentation in the stomach. Meaning you’ll feel bloated and full of burps!
